Queens Theatre is seeking Equity actors for roles in THE MONKEY KING: A Kung Fu Musical for the premiere Theater for Young Audiences production. This production currently has two student matinee performances and two public performances scheduled, all to take place at the Claire Shulman Theater at Queens Theatre in Flushing Meadows Corona Park, Queens, NY in mid-February, 2023.
Auditions will be via video submission, due by December 20, 2022. Please prepare one of the songs and one side provided in the links below. You may also choose to prepare a short cut of a musical theatre/pop/rock song that shows your style and vocal range. If you do not have access to accompaniment, you may sing your song of choice acapella. If you do not have a reader available for the sides, you may submit a monologue of your choice in the style of the show.
Contract
Contract type: AEA TYA, per-performance (pending AEA approval)
Contract salary: $540/wk minimum with health weeks and pension contribution
EMC points are not available on this contract. All cast must be current or joining AEA members.
