La Toquilla es un grupo confirmado por el Requinto de Oro, el guitarrista Agni Durden y la inigualable voz de la manabita Alejandra García, con 10 años de trayectoria han elevado los estándares de calidad de la música tradicional Ecuatoriana, juntos han recorrido Europa, Norteamérica y Asia con esta innovadora propuesta al ritmo de Pasillo, Yaraví y San Juanito. Han recibido reconocimientos nacionales e internacionales y millones de reproducciones en sus plataformas digitales.


La Toquilla is a group formed by the Requinto de Oro, guitarist Agni Durden and the incomparable voice from Manabi, Alejandra García. With a 10 year trajectory they have raised the quality standards of traditional Ecuadorian music. Together they have toured Europe, North America and Asia with this innovative proposal to the rhythm of Pasillo, Yaraví and San Juanito. They have received national and international recognition and millions of views on their digital platforms.

Horacio Laguna, nacido en Argentina, se mudó a los Estados Unidos en 1983. Comenzó a tocar la guitarra a la edad de siete años después de heredar su primera guitarra de su abuelo italiano y fue enseñado por su padre italiano. Laguna ingresó al Conservatorio Constanio Gaito de Buenos Aires a los diez años y se graduó a los quince años. También estudió música clásica en el Lehman College de Nueva York con el maestro Jorge Morel. En 1994 firmó un contrato de siete años con el Carnegie Hall para hacer un concierto una vez al año.

Horacio Laguna ha actuado para Sarah Ferguson, duquesa de York, con Gato Barbieri, Celia Cruz, Tito Puente, Charityn, la leyenda del soul Odetta Holmes (La voz del movimiento por los derechos civiles) y muchos más.


Horacio Laguna was born in Argentina and moved to the United States in 1983. He started playing guitar at the age of seven after he inherited his first guitar from his Italian grandfather and was taught by his Italian father.  Laguna enrolled in the Constanio Gaito Conservatory in Buenos Aires at the age of ten, and graduated when he was fifteen years old. He also studied classical music in New York's Lehman College with Maestro Jorge Morel. In 1994 he signed a seven-year contract with Carnegie Hall to do a concert once a year. 

Horacio Laguna has performed for Sarah Ferguson, Duchess of York, with Gato Barbieri, Celia Cruz, Tito Puente, Charityn, Soul legend Odetta Holmes (The Voice of the Civil Rights Movement) and many more.
