At a very young age, Ali Amran, singer and songwriter originally from Algeria (Kabylia region) who established his residency in Finland and lastly, France; started writing poems and taught himself to play an acoustic guitar. Against all the odds, almost every artist in the region except a few, wanted to learn and reproduce the same genre and style of traditional music. However, he chose to follow the steps of the few star artists, such as Idir, Inasliyen … and universal artists or bands such as The Beatles. Ali Amran loved the Beatles and was eager to learn how to play their songs and he did! He incorporated the Beatles' style along with the traditional ones into his own genre. It has been many years since he started performing on stage. He plays his guitar and sings mainly in Kabyle with a few songs in French. The new and old generations admire him dearly and everywhere he performs, the crowd is there to cherish him and enjoy his music. Hopefully, the same will happen in New York and everywhere he plays.
