Jerron Herman Headshot

PLAYWRIGHT Jerron Herman is a disabled dancer and writer who creates works to facilitate welcoming. He has premiered pieces at Danspace Project, Performance Space New York, The Kennedy Center, and The Whitney Museum. Jerron's most recent work VITRUVIAN premiered live at Abrons Arts Center in May with a digital release in July. He curated the speaking series Access Check 2.0: Mapping Accessibility for the Shelley & Donald Rubin Foundation from 2019-2020 and Discourse: Disabled Artists at The Joyce for The Joyce Theater in 2021. Jerron has also served on the Board of Trustees at Dance/USA since 2017, most recently as Vice Chair. His writings on arts and culture have been published in the US and internationally and most recently his play, 3 Bodies, was published in Theater Magazine’s May/June 2022 issue. During the Spring 2022 semester Jerron was also the Artist/Scholar in Residence at Georgetown University, facilitating student engagement with Art and Disability. As a model and advocate, Jerron has worked with Chromat, Tommy Hilfiger, Cerebral Palsy Foundation, and Nike. Other accolades include a 2021 Grants to Artists Award from the Foundation for Contemporary Arts and a 2021-2022 Jerome Hill Artist Fellowship in Dance from the Jerome Foundation. The 2021 PETRONIO Award and residency as well as a 2020 Disability Futures Fellowship by the Ford Foundation and the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation. Jerronherman.com

DIRECTOR Dominic Antonio D’Andrea (he/him) is a proud staff member at Queens Theatre where he produces, programs, creates digital programming, & directs community engagement. He's the elected New York State Representative for The Dramatists Guild of America. Recent Directing: Gina Femia’s We Are A Masterpiece (Atlanta Premiere), Lauren Ferebee’s The Reckless Season (Boomerang Theatre), Workshop Production of Garret Jon Groenveld’s The Hummingbirds w/ Alfredo Narciso and Olympia Dukakis, in one of her final stage appearances (The Lark, 14th St Y, Red Fern Theatre), America Too (Trinity Rep); 15 seasons as a director/facilitator with The Lark; Residencies: SPACE at Ryder Farm, Edward F Albee Foundation, MTC Directing Fellow, Drama League AD Fellow, LCT/LA/Chicago Directors Labs, 3x SDCF Observership; 12 years as Producing AD of Th One-Minute Play Festival; BA, University of Maryland; MA Applied Theatre, CUNY; MFA, U of I.

Peter L. Trojic Headshot

Peter L. Trojic (Mal) is a disabled dancer and actor, originally from New York City. Peter is a company dancer for Full Radius Dance, Heidi Latsky Dance, and General Mischief Dance Theater He also has a passion for acting and performance. In addition to performing Peter works in accessibility and technology as it relates to lithe arts with a focus on the betterment of accessibility practices from both the audience and performers . He works with the belief that if we prioritize accessibility at the beginning, art will be better for it. Peter has performed at the United Nations, the Whitney Museum, The New York City Highline, High Museum of Art, and the Lincoln Center Atrium.

Melanie Rivera Waldman Headshot

Melanie Rivera Waldman (Mar) is a member of SAG AFTRA and is celebrating her second win at the Easterseals Disability Film Challenge! She holds her BA in theatre & journalism from Rutgers University where she studied within Mason Gross and well as their school of communication. She’s a former participant of “Theatre for All” & is excited to be making her Queens Theatre debut, in person! Special thanks to her family & friends for their unending love & support.

Gilbert Cruz Headshot

Gilbert Cruz * (Prentis) has been acting here in NYC for last 42 years. He has been seen in many off-B'way theaters: Intar, Womens' Project, Classical Theater of Harlem, HERE Space, Roundabout, Ensemble Studio Theater. He has also performed at many of our countries prestigious regional theaters: Seattle Rep, McCarter Theater, Old Globe, Shakespeare Theater DC, Barrington Stage, as well as appearances in many of the TV shows shot here in the city.

Paige LaRoss (Stage Directions) is a professional voice actor who has voiced hundreds of commercials, eLearning programs, instructional videos, and phone systems. Her clients include Squarespace, Amazon, Coffee-mate, PepsiCo, Curel, and many more. She has performed onstage at venues including the Brick Theater, the Brooklyn Lyceum, the Secret Theater, Delaware Theatre Company, and the Walnut Street Theatre Studio.
