After a successful presentation of Theatre For All Short Play Readings last fall, Queens Theatre is pleased to announce a second evening of new works, Theatre For All Short Play Readings: Take Two!
The program includes seven plays, either written by a disabled playwright or featuring a character(s) with a disability.
On tap for the reading are: Ashes of the Revolution by John Patrick Bray, Broken English by Nina Ki, Claudie's Brother by Barbara Lindsay, The Crass Menagerie by Rich Orloff, Interabled by Marianna Mott Newirth, Purging by Ann Marley and The Tale of the Sleeping Cutie by Diane Sampson.
Many of the actors featured in the evening's ensemble were members of Queens Theatre's first Theatre For All Training Program held in September 2018 for early-career Deaf and disabled actors.
The company includes Nicole D'Angelo, Thomas Ellenson, Jaleesa Graham, Ali Hardy, Kerry McMenamin, Alejandra Ospina, Hyoiin Park, Kennedy Robinson, David Savetts, Dante G. Soria, Benjamin Specland and Jae Woo.
All of Queens Theatre's Reading Series events are FREE, but reservations are encouraged.
