INDIVIDUAL GIVING

Since its founding in 1989, Queens Theatre has been embraced by a generous community of donors committed to supporting the premier venue for the performing arts in Queens.  Each year, a substantial portion of our budget is comprised of the donations of hundreds of individuals and families.  The direct support of the members of our audiences and of our neighbors in the community is a true testament to the success of the work on our stages.

If paying with a credit card, be sure to include the cardholder name, card type, account number, and expiration date for credit card donations. Checks should be made payable to Queens Theatre.  Please include a note with your contribution indicating any special instructions.

Make a Monthly Gift

You can provide consistent, sustainable support for Queens Theatre programs through monthly donations. Choose your preferred denomination, and QT will debit your credit card monthly. You can cancel your monthly gift at any time.

Monthly donors are invited to join QT’s Leadership Circle. Leadership Circle members receive the following special recognition and exclusive benefits:

  • An honorary membership certificate
  • Thank you letter from Executive Director, Ray Cullum
  • Name listed in annual report
  • Invitation to our annual Gala
  • Fewer mail solicitations
  • An annual contribution statement for tax purposes

Memorial and Tribute Gifts

Celebrate the memory of a loved one by making a memorial donation in their name. When your gift is received, Queens Theatre will promptly send an acknowledgment to whomever you designate, notifying them of your thoughtful donation. 

Gifts can also be made in honor of individuals, groups, or special occasions such as birthdays, graduations, weddings, or anniversaries. Tribute gifts make great holiday gifts as well. 

Workplace Giving

Many public and private employers participate in workplace giving campaigns that allow employees to contribute to their favorite charities through payroll deductions. Check with your employer’s human resources or personnel office for more details. 

Many organizations will also match charitable contributions made by employees. Check with your employer to see if your gift to Queens Theatre can be matched - or perhaps even doubled or tripled - by your employer. Then forward your employer’s matching gift form to Queens Theatre along with your donation.

Gifts of Stock

Queens Theatre welcomes gifts of stock, bonds, and other appreciated assets. If you would like to donate securities, please contact Lorraine Goodman, Director of Development, at 347.472.3706  for instructions.

Planned Giving

If you care about the community where you live and want to make a lasting impression, then please consider making a gift through your estate to our endowment fund.  

Endowment gifts, capital grants, bequests and other types of planned gifts help provide long-term financial stability for the institution and enhance our ability to undertake expansion of our artistic programming and the restoration and renovation of our landmark building. Types of projects to which gifts may be earmarked include: free performances, artists-in-residence, education and outreach activities, commission fees, physical plant improvements, and unrestricted operating support
