Queens Theatre 2012 Gala Opening Night of Heat Wave: The Jack Cole Project

2012 Gala

On May 9th, Queens Theatre held its biggest fundraiser of the year: our 2012 Gala, a star-studded celebration of the world premiere of Heat Wave:  The Jack Cole Project, a musical homage to legendary stage and screen choreographer Jack Cole.

More than 250 guests—including Chita Rivera; Wicked composer Stephen Schwartz; dance legends Marge Champion, Jacques D’Amboise, Donna McKechnie and Luigi; Queens Borough President Helen Marshall, and New York City Councilman Jimmy Van Bramer—turned out to celebrate the legacy of Mr. Cole and to support Queens Theatre’s mission of bringing exceptional, diverse programming to Queens.

It is with great pride and deep gratitude that we thank our supporters for donating more than $150,000 to support Queens Theatre, its programming, and its educational programs that bring theatre and the arts to public school students throughout New York City.

For a great year, and a great season, Queens Theatre thanks you.

Sincerely,

Ray Cullom
Executive Director
